Players can enter all three tennis events, i.e. Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Format of draws will be based on entry numbers.
All players are guaranteed at least three matches.
All main draw open division matches for rounds 1 and 2 will be two short tie-break sets of 4 (7 points), a super tie-break (10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set, and sudden death deuce scoring.
All main draw open division SEMI's and FINALS will be two tie-break sets, a super tie-break (10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set. Normal deuce scoring.
Plate matches may be shortened to two short tie-break sets of 4 (7 points), a super tie-break (10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set, and sudden death deuce scoring. The same scoring format will apply to other rounds (divisions) if there is a delay due to weather conditions.
Doubles or mixed doubles playing partners must attend the same school.
Depending on the number of entries and divisions, all main draw matches will be two tie-break sets, a super tie-break (10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set. If weather is an issue, plate matches will be shortened to two short tie-break sets of 4 (7 points), a super tie-break (10 points) in lieu of a 3rd set.
If less than 7 pairs are entered into an event, the event will not proceed and participating schools will be notified accordingly.
All players must be prepared to adjudicate matches as required. Tournament referees will be available.
Schools with fewer than two competitors in a gender division are ineligible for team placings.
Team results are determined from singles placings.
The placings of the top two boys from each school are added together, and the lowest combined total wins.
Example:
6th + 13th = 19 points (1st)
5th + 22nd = 27 points (2nd)
Team results follow the same format as the Boys Division.
The placings of the top two girls are added together, and the lowest combined total wins.
Example:
6th + 13th = 19 points (1st)
5th + 22nd = 27 points (2nd)
If two or more schools finish on the same total, the tie is broken by the school with the highest‑placed individual competitor.
All medal presentations will take place at Venture Developments WBOP Tennis Centre.
Awarded to:
One girl and one boy in each singles division.
One girl and one boy overall across all doubles divisions.
